1st Generation - The A40 and A50 Supra
The first-generation Supra was introduced in 1978 as a variant of the Toyota Celica. It was powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six engine that produced 110 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. The Supra was designed to be a grand tourer, with comfortable seating and a smooth ride. It was available with a four-speed manual or three-speed automatic transmission.
