The Testarossa’s design is characterized by its wide stance, distinctive side strakes (cheese grater vents), and a sleek, aerodynamic profile. The iconic side strakes not only added to the car’s visual appeal but also improved airflow to the rear-mounted radiators, ensuring optimal engine cooling.

The heart of the Testarossa is its mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 4.9-liter flat-12 engine. In its original form, the engine produced approximately 385 horsepower and 361 lb-ft (490 Nm) of torque. This power was channeled to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The Testarossa’s performance was nothing short of exceptional, with a 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) time of around 5.2 seconds and a top speed of approximately 180 mph (290 km/h).
