Apart from his success with the Audi Quattro, the two-time winner of the Monte Carlo Rally, Walter Röhrl also drove for several other manufacturers throughout his career. He had stints with Porsche, Lancia, Opel, and Ford, driving a range of different cars and always managing to adapt to the characteristics of each one. Whether it was the front-engine Porsche 944 or the more front-heavy Lancia 037, Röhrl had an innate ability to understand the nuances of every car he drove and extract its maximum potential.
