Toyota is kicking off the 2026 model year with a bold splash of color, unveiling a striking new special edition of the GR86: the Yuzu Edition.

This limited-run model is based on the GR86 Premium trim but stands out immediately thanks to its vibrant yellow exterior—a nod to a past special edition of the GR86’s spiritual predecessor, the Scion FR-S. The bright paint is paired with matte-black 18-inch wheels and black accents throughout, giving the Yuzu Edition a clean, aggressive look that stands out on the street or the track.

Inside, the color theme continues with black Ultrasuede® sport seats featuring yellow perforation and stitching. Additional yellow details can be found on the steering wheel, parking brake, and door trim, adding a unique and sporty touch to the cabin.

Performance upgrades include Brembo brakes for serious stopping power and SACHS dampers to enhance handling stability—perfect for drivers who enjoy the GR86’s famously playful rear-wheel-drive dynamics. For those looking to take things a step further, Toyota will offer optional accessories like a GR-branded cat-back exhaust with silver tips and an available body kit.

The 2026 GR86 lineup will consist of three trims: the base GR86, GR86 Premium, and the limited-production Yuzu Edition. All models will be available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission and are powered by the same 2.4-liter naturally aspirated flat-four, delivering 228 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The GR86 Yuzu Edition is scheduled to arrive at Toyota dealerships in Fall 2025, but don’t expect to see many—only 860 units will be built for the North American market. Toyota has yet to announce official pricing or a full spec sheet, but more details are expected later this year.
