After two long years of zero hooning and high-speed shenanigans, Gymkhana is finally back with their new video, “Aussie Shred.” As the name suggests, this one takes place in Australia, where Travis Pastrana takes you on a leisurely tour from the Outback, through Sydney, and even onto the Mount Panorama race track. Featuring Gymkhana’s staple mix of insane stunts and high-speed maneuvers only a legendary driver could pull off, it’s hard to describe the mind-boggling video in words, so it’s better if you witness it with your own eyes.

Embracing the cult-classic, quirky utility vehicle that is the Subaru BRAT, this 1978 example is far from the BRAT it was when it rolled off the assembly line in ’78. This Subaru Brataroo 9500 Turbo was built in partnership with Subaru and Vermont SportsCar, spitting fire from a 2.0-liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine that’s pushing out 670 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque. Capable of revving to about 9,500 rpm, the Brataroo is the highest-revving Gymkhana car to date. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed sequential SADEV gearbox.

On the outside, you’ll notice the front-fender louvers move up and down in the video thanks to the most advanced active-aero system of any Gymkhana car to date. The entire body is made of carbon fiber that covers a VSC-engineered chassis and roll cage built to WRC standards. And of course, the BRAT’s iconic rear seats in the “bed” are still there—just ask the guys in the back using the Brataroo as a carousel.
