Porsche has marked the end of its limited-run 911 Dakar production by delivering a unique Sonderwunsch model to an Italian sports car collector at its Zuffenhausen plant. This bespoke creation showcases a striking three-tone paintwork, blending Signalyellow and Gentianbluemetallic with a custom Lampedusablue accent inspired by the Mediterranean island of Lampedusa. Hand-applied detailing extends to the alloy wheels, featuring spokes in Signalyellow and a rim edge in Lampedusablue, complemented by distinctive accents like Lampedusa-colored LED Matrix headlight rings and black stainless steel protective elements. The interior continues the custom treatment with Speedyellow stitching, trim strips, and embroidered “911 Dakar” lettering on the headrests, emphasizing Porsche’s meticulous craftsmanship.
Underneath its rugged elegance, the 911 Dakar is a testament to Porsche’s engineering prowess, equipped with a three-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine delivering 479 hp and 570 Nm of torque. Designed for both off-road adventures and high-speed precision, it boasts a ground clearance 50mm higher than the standard 911 Carrera and off-road enhancements like forged aluminum recovery eyelets and widened wheel arches. This Sonderwunsch edition embodies the spirit of the legendary 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally winner, blending performance, exclusivity, and heritage into one final masterpiece to close the chapter on this trailblazing model.
This one-of-a-kind Sonderwunsch 911 Dakar stands as a fitting tribute to a model that has redefined what a Porsche 911 can be. Renowned for its versatility and performance, the 911 Dakar has already cemented its legacy as a bold fusion of sports car prowess and off-road capability. Capping off the production run with a bespoke creation that proudly wears the iconic 1984 Paris-Dakar–winning livery feels like the perfect nod to the car’s inspiration. It’s the level of thoughtful detail and quality that enthusiasts have come to expect from Porsche.
