Unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Lamborghini has taken its most representative design elements to the extreme with the Fenomeno. Continuing the tradition of creating limited-edition vehicles that began in 2007 with the Reventón, the Fenomeno follows in the footsteps of the Sesto Elemento (2010), Veneno (2013), Centenario (2016), Sián (2019), and Countach (2021). Its name also follows a classic Lamborghini tradition, as this new beast is named after a famous bull that was pardoned for its exceptional abilities.

Beneath the multi-technology monocoque and aggressively aerodynamic bodywork lies the most powerful mid-mounted, naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 in Lamborghini’s history. This engine produces over 128 CV per liter, with a maximum torque of 725 Nm at 6,750 rpm—80% of which is available as early as 3,500 rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels, while two electric motors (350 Nm each) drive the front wheels and a third electric motor is integrated into the all-new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Together, the Fenomeno delivers a staggering maximum output of 1,080 CV.

The new dual-clutch eight-speed transmission is mounted transversely behind the V12 to keep weight low and the overall footprint as compact as possible. The third electric motor, previously mentioned, not only serves as a starter and generator, but also enables full EV four-wheel-drive capability. It makes use of a decoupling mechanism and a dedicated synchronizer, depending on the selected driving mode.

To handle all this power, the Fenomeno employs a CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brake system, derived from the technology used in LMDh race cars such as the SC63. It also features manually adjustable racing shocks, allowing drivers to fine-tune stance and setup for specific track conditions or driving preferences. For the first time in a Lamborghini, a 6D sensor has been strategically installed near the vehicle’s center of gravity. This sensor communicates with the IPB (Integrated Power Brake) control unit and other dynamic systems. The 6D sensor provide measurements which feed real-time measurements into the IVE (Integrated Vehicle Estimator). The IVE then calculates the car’s dynamics on the fly and relays this information to related systems, including the IBC (Integrated Brake Controller), ensuring real-time adaptation to any driving situation.

The Fenomeno carries forward Lamborghini’s tradition of producing outrageously powerful, technologically advanced, and highly exclusive “Few-Off” models. Limited to just 29 units, the Fenomeno lives up to its name—a true phenomenon on four wheels.
