Dodge Charger 5th Gen
After a brief hiatus, the Dodge Charger returned in 1982 as a subcompact front-wheel-drive coupe. It shared its platform with the Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon, and while it lacked the raw power of its predecessors, it offered a sporty appearance and nimble handling. This generation featured a turbocharged variant known as the Shelby Charger, developed in collaboration with Carroll Shelby. The Shelby Charger injected some performance spirit into the lineup, ensuring that the Charger name remained associated with speed and excitement.
