The S14 generation of the Nissan 240SX, introduced to the U.S. market in 1995, continued to offer improved performance and handling. This iteration featured more refined styling and a stiffer chassis, further enhancing the driving experience. The S14 was praised for its improved suspension geometry, which contributed to better handling and precision on the road.
Both the base and SE models retained the 2.4-liter DOHC KA24DE engine from the S13. This engine produced approximately 155 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque, but with significantly improved overall engine response and efficiency. This engine setup continued to deliver a balanced and enjoyable driving experience for enthusiasts. It’s worth noting that while the U.S. market didn’t officially receive the turbocharged S14 there was a 240SX variant known as the 240SX K’s. Featuring a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine designated as the SR20DET, capable of producing around 205 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
