Downhill Racer (1969): 1968 Porsche 911 Turbo

Downhill Racer is more of a significant film as it was one of the first movies to feature a Porsche 911. We see the Porsche 911T where Robert Redford’s character is skiing with Gene Hackman’s character in the Alps. Robert Redford took his co-star for a ride in the orange 911T through the Alps. After filming the movie, Robert Redford became a lifelong Porsche enthusiast. Even though he’s an environmentalist, he stated that he always liked speed and owns a 1955 Porsche Spyder 550 RS and other Porsche cars.
