No Man’s Land (1987): Porsche 930 Turbo
If there’s a movie solely focusing on Porsche cars, then No Man’s Land is that movie. Released in 1987, No Man’s Land is about a rookie cop (D.B. Sweeney) infiltrating a car theft ring, led by criminal mastermind Ted Varrick (Charlie Sheen). The movie featured a variety of Porsche 911s including coupes, Targas and Cabriolets. There’s also some intense stunt driving and oversteering, involving a scene with Sheen and his co-star D.B. Sweeney in a silver 930 Turbo equipped with gold aftermarket wheels and another with two stars pushing a custom naturally aspirated Cabriolet down a canyon road. There’s another scene where the two stars are looking for potential cars to steal in Beverly Hills. They see a red Ferrari 512BBi. Sweeney’s character suggests stealing it but Sheen’s character said no. “Italian trash,” he said. “Besides , I only steal Porsches, like that one.” The camera then pans to a black 930 Turbo with a slant nose conversion, chrome Fuchs wheels and other modifications.
