Over the years, Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) has extended its design ethos into collaborations that redefine automotive art, notably partnering with Porsche. ALD has cemented its reputation as a visionary in the world of fashion and lifestyle, blending urban sophistication with timeless design. Founded in Queens, New York, the brand’s penchant for storytelling and quality craftsmanship has earned it a dedicated following. Their journey began with a meticulously restored 964 Carrera 4, which garnered acclaim for its innovative fusion of retro elegance and modern sensibility. Subsequent collaborations have only deepened this legacy, culminating in their latest project—a reimagining of the legendary Porsche 993 Turbo. This fourth collaboration between ALD and Porsche pays homage to the groundbreaking sportscar from the mid-1990s while infusing it with ALD’s signature aesthetic.  

The centerpiece of this restoration is the 993 Turbo’s engine, which retains its iconic 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six, delivering an impressive 408 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. Beyond its robust performance, the car is enhanced with technical upgrades borrowed from the 993 Turbo S, including a front splitter, upgraded exhaust system, and the iconic ‘whale tail’ rear wing. These additions enhance the car’s aerodynamics and presence. The exterior is painted in Mulberry Green, a hue that has become synonymous with Aimé Leon Dore, further accented by 18-inch Porsche Turbo Twist Rims and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. Inside, the cabin exudes luxury, featuring dark brown leather upholstery, lambswool details, and a custom Unisphere gear knob that nods to ALD’s Queens heritage. The bespoke interior design extends to the instrument cluster and floor mats, underscoring a commitment to a monochromatic aesthetic that feels both timeless and modern.
