The Goodwood Revival is an annual motor racing event in West Sussex, England, that celebrates the golden era of motorsport. Bringing together classic racing cars, motorcycles, and enthusiasts from around the world, it allows participants and spectators to relive the excitement and glamour of post-war motorsport. This year’s Goodwood Timed Shootout at the Festival of Speed, proved to be a thrilling spectacle. The competition showcased a range of remarkable vehicles and featured dramatic highs and lows.

Among the notable entries, the Ferrari 512BB LM driven by Annette Mason and the SCG 004C driven by Pierro Longhi faced early setbacks, each experiencing minor collisions with the track’s scenery. Meanwhile, hypercars from Koenigsegg and Czinger demonstrated their impressive capabilities. The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack clocked a swift 50.2-second run, and the Czinger 21C managed an even faster 48.82 seconds, outpacing a Sauber Mercedes Group C prototype. The Czinger 21C, despite losing a wing mirror in a minor incident, also outperformed Nick Padmore’s Lotus 77. However, it was Raphael Astier in the Alpine A110 Pikes Peak and James Wallis in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup who truly shone, with runs of 48.61 and 48.04 seconds, respectively.

  6. Chris Ward – Czinger 21C (48.82 seconds)
  7. Astier Raphael – Alpine A110 Pikes Peak (48.61 seconds)

The competition’s climax saw Scott Speed in the Subaru WRX: Project Midnight and Romain Dumas in the Ford Supervan 4.2 face off. Speed’s run ended with a time of 46.07 seconds, falling short of expectations. Dumas, a two-time Le Mans winner, delivered a masterful performance, completing his run in 43.98 seconds and securing victory with the 1,400PS (1,030kW) Ford Supervan 4.2.
