The BMW M3-R, often regarded as one of the rarest and most collectible E36 M3 variants, introduced a host of performance enhancements. Under the hood, the M3-R featured an upgraded 3.2-liter inline-six engine, delivering an impressive 322 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. This power bump, coupled with a lighter flywheel, resulted in lightning-quick throttle response and exhilarating acceleration. The M3-R also boasted adjustable front and rear spoilers, offering driver-controlled aerodynamic adjustments to tailor the car’s handling characteristics to different driving conditions. Inside, the interior featured bespoke trim and accents, emphasizing its exclusivity. With a limited production run of 11 sold in Australia, the M3-R remains a coveted gem in the E36 M3 lineup.

I bought my US version in 1995. Never complained about making the payment. 😉 Bilstein / HR sport springs with Turner Motorsport sway bars make the handling even more impressive and greatly reduces body roll. Front Strut Bar, X Brace and Rear Shock tower bar tighten the chassis. Upgrade intake system with Euro Airbox, 3.5 Air mass , larger throttle body , Stage 3 Dinan chip , Billy Boat exhaust and free flowing Cats add that extra punch the engine needed. I had the manager for dealership where I bought it in 95 tried to buy it back. You will pry it from my dead hands and then it goes to my son. Absolutely Fantastic Car and is a blast on track days … ENJOY !
