To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Porsche Ibérica has introduced the Cuarenta Edition, a special version of the iconic 911. This edition features unique exterior and interior design elements inspired by Iberian history and culture, including exclusive logos and color schemes. Porsche Ibérica, initially established as Porsche España, S.A. in 1984, transitioned from an importer to a full subsidiary, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s history in Spain and Portugal. This exclusive edition is a tribute to the brand’s enduring presence and its connection with Iberian enthusiasts.
The Cuarenta Edition is based on the 911 Carrera GTS and boasts a powerful T-Hybrid drive system. This setup includes a six-cylinder boxer engine with a 3.6-liter displacement, producing 398 kW (541 PS). The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). The edition also features rear-wheel steering and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the ground clearance by 10 millimeters, enhancing its sporty character and performance.
The bespoke features of the Cuarenta Edition include a unique exterior color, Quercusverde, reminiscent of the distinctive green of holm oak leaves common in the Iberian Peninsula. The interior showcases a luxurious blend of Truffle Brown and Cohiba Brown leather, with a Tartan textile pattern in the seat centers that includes shades of Truffle Brown, Cohiba Brown, Crayon, and Quercusverde. The car also features custom cross-stitching, illuminated door sill guards, and a specially designed key painted in Quercusverde. The attention to detail in both the exterior and interior design elements underscores the exclusivity and craftsmanship of this limited edition.
A testament to the rich tapestry of Iberian culture, infusing the iconic model with an added layer of character. The deep, custom green paint, reminiscent of royal elegance, beautifully captures the spirit and heritage of the region. While the 911 hardly needs another special edition to bolster its legendary status, this one particularly stands out by gracefully highlighting the unique aspects of Spanish and Iberian culture. The result is a car that not only performs impeccably but also tells a story of tradition and artistry, making it a truly exceptional addition to the 911’s outstanding legacy.
